not so subtle
Spotted this today:
I wonder how long it will take for a) similar modifications to billboards in the same area and/or b) this billboard to be returned to its original state?
There certainly are a lot of Destiny billboards out East - them and Steve Baron. Labour and National also have good coverage, and I've spotted a couple of Act Party Vote ones. Oh and I think two Greens boards.
The National one up the road from the beauty above had obviously been seen to by someone familiar with jarrod's Don-Brash-is-a-killer-robot-with-lasers-for-eyes theory, but unfortunately I couldn't get a snap.

thanks for that. Unfourtantly being far from home come election time means I miss out on the fun.
apparently the billboard in question has since been ripped off the fence and was last seen lying on the ground, having suffered a fair kicking.
It wasn't till I saw a lonely example of one of these billboards in chch that I realised Richard Lewis' hair wasn't originally like Hitler's. Great job on the hair styling!
I bet you it was those negative, mean and nasty right-wingers that bring you down so much, Span.
Ha ha ha. It stops being so funny when you've been on a campaign where your (female) candidate has had "cunt", "dyke" and a crudely daubed penis painted over the headshot on her hoarding though...
It's like 'Pitch Black' - every three years the mutants come out under cover of darkness. And on a thoroughly non-partisan basis ANYONE I see vandalising ANY HOARDING will get the shit kicked out of them. Folks who don't like Nazis shouldn't act like Brownshirts.
I have to agree with Ms VF - witty billboard modifications are fab, a la the changes to Christine Fletcher's "No Spin" logo (the addition of a carefully placed E can do wonders). Abusive ones, and senseless destruction, are stupid.
I saw a Destiny one last night that had "I (heart) gays" scrawled on it, which was borderline funny, IMHO.
I'm ambivalent about the particular graffiti in the picture in this post - I feel uncomfortable that Destiny is being compared to the Nazis, but at the same time I am aware that there are a few valid similarities to be pointed out, and it is a funny way to do it.
oh dear, that was a very Jordan-esque comment. I must be coming down with something.
Isn't beating people up a brownshirt tactic in itself Craig?
The best I've seen so far was one in Porirua which read "I [Heart] Men". I assume it was written by another man...
It suits him! haha!
