for some reason the marchers on the hikoi were really really really keen on flags. i'm more of a placard person my self, or a cool banner. but the flags made a v big impact.

Striking imagery, that's what it is - the Tino Rangatiratanga flag does what 'our' flag doesn't - it makes a statement. Sure, I mightn't accept that statement, but the flag sure does make it.
